Want to beautify your blog and social media with styled stock photography? If so, you’re in luck! In this post, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite places to find feminine stock photos.

Nowadays there are dozens of sites like Pixabay and Unsplash that offer free stock photos. Unfortunately though, downloading and using photos from these sites may come with some legal risk.

Recently, I read an article about a photographer facing a lawsuit after using a photo they found on a popular free stock photo site. This sounds like a massive headache and something I think every blogger would rather avoid.

Two ways you can prevent this from happening are by either taking your own photos or by investing in styled stock photos. If you want to DIY your own photos, I have an interview on this blog with Amy Eaton that you might find helpful. In it, she shares her best tips for creating stunning stock photos from what type of camera to use to the best photo editing software.

If you don’t want to worry about purchasing props, lighting, or a professional camera, then putting money towards a stock photo membership could be a better way to go.

That said, below are a few of my favorite styled stock photo sites!

1. Styled Stock Society

There are over 2,500 stock photos in the Styled Stock Society with more being added weekly! I’m currently a member and love how quick and easy it is to find great photos for my posts.

At the moment, you can find photos in these categories:

  • Workspace
  • Fashion & Beauty
  • Health & Wellness
  • Food & Beverage
  • Lifestyle
  • Seasonal & Holiday

As a member, you’ll also be able to access 100+ customizable Canva templates. You can use these to easily create cohesive social media graphics, email opt-ins, workbooks or webinar slides for your blog. If you want to save time creating branded graphics, joining the Styled Stock Society would be a great move!

Creative Market is another great place you can find feminine stock photos at affordable prices.

One reason I love Creative Market is that there are photos for just about every niche. So no matter what you blog about, they’ll likely have some photos for it.

Although they’re not a membership site, you can still save money when you buy bundles as opposed to individual stock photos. They have a selection of over 4,500 photo bundles and make it super easy to filter your search by price so that you can find something that fits within your budget.

Below are a few of my favorite stock photo bundles from Creative Market.

Is it worth joining a stock photo membership?

If you’re debating whether or not to sign up for a stock photo membership, below are a few reasons why I think it can be a wise investment.

  1. Save money. If you decide to purchase stock photos individually, they can range between $3-10 per photo. With a membership, you can typically access and download thousands of photos for a small monthly or quarterly cost. In certain cases, you can be spending less than $30 for thousands of stock photos!
  2. Stay safe. Once you’re a member, you can usually download as many stock photos as you need without having to second guess whether you’re allowed to use a photo on your blog or not. Side note: Always read the photo license agreement before using any stock photos!
  3. Save time. Stock photo memberships typically have filters and categories in place that quickly help you find what you’re looking for. As an example, I’m currently a Styled Stock Society member and can filter by image orientation, color scheme, and photo category. Because of these filters, I can find exactly what I’m looking for in under a minute!
  4. Stand out. Whenever I’m on Pinterest, it’s not uncommon for me to see the same photo being used by two different bloggers in the same niche. When you have a stock photo membership with thousands of photos at your fingertips, it’s less likely for you to run into this issue.
